@thedeadstig123 mind you this episode is COMPLETELY different to the normal series, and it was most definately intended to be funny, not putting the laughter over the normal one is a given but here i think it works

His catch phrase in interviews with Harry Carpenter (Who died this week R.I.P.) was, ‘Know what I mean Harry’
It’s not canned laughter – the audience response from the studio is being filtered through, as it’s live and supposed to be a sketch, as opposed to a ‘mini-episode’.

Ashes to ashes really is prob one of the few things i do watch,Gene hunt and the quattro, the show would not be the same without them.
