CELEBRITY PHOTOS FROM THE 1950S BY DORIS BANBURY
A video featuring some of my mother Doris Banbury's 1950s photos of legendary theater, film and television stars. A (tentative) summer 2009 photography exhibit at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will feature a collection of the candid photos Doris shot when she was a young woman living in New York. The title and date of the exhibit is TBA. There is also a table book memoir manuscript about the photos that I wrote in 2004 titled; TREASURES OF A BRONX WARRIOR. I just loved seeing these so much !! Your mom & I both love photography and trying to catch the stars !! This was so wonderful !!!

Actually, my mother was NOT happy about showing her photos or talking about her experiences. There is a story to that which will be featured in a manuscript I wrote in 2004 titled; TREASURES OF A BRONX WARRIOR. It is a memoir slash table book, a hard sell, but I am talking to a publisher who maybe able to help get it published before the TBA exhibit.
I want to thank you all for the kind, heartfelt comments! It means a lot to me and I am sure to mom as well.
