From what I understand Shannen signed on to do 90210 with the knowledge that she was going to be the “star” or the female lead of the show.
The problem was that once the producers saw what Jennie was capable of as an actress they starting giving her better storylines than Shannen.
That just went all over Shannen, she could not stand that Jennie was overtaking her as the lead actress on 90210. So after that Shannen just became incredibly difficult to work with.
